How do we get dried fabric glue out of polyester?

I bought a Polyester navy blue dress from JC Penny with rhinestone decorations on the front. I didn't realize till I had worn it at a wedding that there was dried glue next to the rhinestones in two spots and it is white mark about 1/4 inch. I can't take it back as it has been worn without a hassle. Also I really like the outfit . I tried adhesive remover, and finger nail polish and it remains. I tried washing it as the instructions say and it remains. Is there any way to remove it? It probably came from the factory and was never caught.

Since a glue gun was used to attach the rhinestones to your dress, I'm thinking that a little bit of heat would remove the glue spots. I'm wondering if maybe you could put some waxed paper or maybe a clean cotton hankie over the glue spots & apply an iron to it, just long enough for the glue to adhere to the waxpaper or cloth, until it's gone. Just a thought!!! Good luck!!!!
