I want to cut for the first time?
I want to make a Christmas ornament as a party favor for my daughters b-day party (her b-day is x-mas standby). the theme is Sesame Street and the ornaments are expensive. then I saw this line and they say it's easy. Is it easy? advice? That should I use? anyone can shed some light would be appreciated. I thought I had x-mas balls of primary colors (if I can find) and get pictures of sesame Street Muppets and carvings on. I can print the photos? do I get them out of a book? I also have a Cricut and have the elmo party cartridge. Can be I can do something from there? thank you!
"Decoupaging" is a possibility, but keep in mind that if you are decoupaging a flat piece of paper / etc on an ornament of football, it does not fit well if it is quite small relative to the ball. Some people images smaller and cut only those to use, or they can cut and overlap the edges to make the image curvature. You will not find cheap glass balls in primary colors, but you could buy opaque clear transparent balls, then color them any color you want. The simplest is the color of the inside of the ball ** pouring acrylic paint (say, yellow), roll up the ornament around the entire inner surface is coated, pour the excess, then turn upside down for a day or two to drain and dry. (Then you could cut an image outside the yellow ball now.) Some people also put images on flat paper or clear acetate in the clear ornament balls drink too many. Or you could use a flat surface of some sort and cutting the image up of it, or even make a "transfer" on it (by not transferring the ink or toner) using various techniques. You can read more about doing cutting on flat surfaces, and ornaments on the ball here: http://www.google.com/search?q=how+to+decoupage http://www.google.com/search?q = + how + to + cut + glass + ball ornaments and you can use paint or stickers (or glue on your own images) or stencils, etc., for the characters of Sesame Street or themes. ** This is a solid color coating, or "swirl" (Marble) paint inside the ball with more than one color: http://www.google.com http://www.google.com/search?q=how+to+acrylic+paint+glass+ball+ornaments / images? q = how + + + with acrylic paint + + + Glass ball ornaments that first link just above and one below might give you some ideas on Sesame Street in particular: Good http://www.google.com/images?q=Sesame+Street+ + + glass ball ornaments good luck!
