Why do Australians make fun of typical Australians?

I have noticed that a lot of teenage boys who arent "tyical australians" have a laugh about paying out those who are. They call a typical australian guy someone who has a ute, a rattail, southern cross tattoo, unit stickers on their car, passion for footy, muscles, bbqs on the beach and drink beer. Do they pay them out because they are jealous or something?

It isn't the 1980's anymore and anyone with a rattail is a bogan of the highest order. Simply put, times changed; if guys still want to act like the "typical Aussie" then they will look like a bunch of galahs.
Teenage boys of today would prefer to listen to Jonas Bros and Justin Bieber while they make sure their hair is fashionably messy and drink premixed girly drinks , so they aren't much better. Until Chisels get autotuned they are destined to make fun of each other.
