Why are green or blue eyes always better than brown?
In books or songs they always say stuff like "those gorgeous green or blue eyes"
Like loads of Indian have dark brown eyes, but the ones with light eyes are most actresses and considered beautiful.people always say green/blue eys is such a nice colour and they sort of overlook people with brown eye colour.
Everyone gets so crazy over blue/green eyed girls or boys. Especially when they have dark features and light eyes, but f they had brown eyes they'd just be ordinary.
What most non Indians don't know is that
in India, light colored eyes are NOT considered pretty. In fact, there used to be a STIGMA attached to light eyes. They were stereotyped as being cunning, crooked and immoral.
In movies, most villains and vamps were portrayed as light-eyed ones.
I think stereotypes of any kind are wrong.
Things have changed and the credit of challenging these stereotypes go to Raj Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai.
They succeeded IN SPITE of and not BECAUSE of light eyes.
True that today there are many Indian actors with light eyes, but they are still a tiny percentage of actors with brown eyes.
The stereotypes about Indians are just never-ending...Many idiots even think that Indian actors use contacts just because they are obsessed with light eyes !!
