will my male cat get along with a bunny rabbit?

i might adopt a bunny rabbit but i'm not sure if my cat will get along with it. he's a male cat, extremely unaggressive.. actually he's pretty much the biggest pussy in the world. he lives by himself in our basement because he pee's and poops all over the house, so basically he's extremely lonely. i'm thinking that a companion rabbit might work out for him? or will he go crazy if he sees it?

I had a cat and rabbit and they got along pretty good/ If the cat won't use a litter box the rabbit will if you do it right. First put the rabbit in a box if some newspaper on the bottom then wait till it pees then take the piece of paper and put it in a litter box with cedar or pine chips then place the rabbit in the box. Let the rabbit get it's sent on the paper and then let the rabbit leave the box it should go back to the litter box each time. The only thing that might confuse the rabbit and make it not return to the box is if it smells the cat's pee on the rug then it might start using that spot? If this happens try moving the litter box to that spot. BTW I agree with the person that said that cat should be seen by a vet. I had a cat poop in places other than the litter box and it turned out it had worms so it might be a good idea to take a stool sample with you to the vet when you go see him or her.
