A cover up for a dress..any suggestions?
Hi, i got a little buttercup yellow, eyelet dress that comes above the knee from saks. It is cute, reminiscent of something mia farrow would have worn in the late 60's. I have two pair of sandals, black patent leather low heel with a geometric circle on the top of the foot and one pair of white, low heeled with three daisies across the slip on part. which be most appropriate for the look? Any suggestions for a fall coverup? links are appreciated. also the purse is black with blended geometric squares by 9 west. i'm hoping to pull this retro look together. i know there are people with good ideas out there 
Thanks in advance. I'm at a loss for a color for a cover up/sweater/jacket, and the cut or shape for one.
my height: 5'7" so i'm kinda tall, and the dress is sort of like a shift cut.
it depends on the occasion. a day, for a more casual, day, type look, i'd go for the white shoe and maybe a boyfriend cardigan or a cropped cardigan it really depends on the cut of the dress and your height.

something like that for the day.
for a nighttime look go for the black sandal and maybe a shorter cropped blazer in black.
