I read a Disney thing recently that said Tinkerbell was a fairy tinker and repaired things as a career.?
I always thought she was called Tinkerbell because when she flew there was a tinkling of bells sound. Before Disney got hold of her, was she really a Tinker? Also, I haven't seen Peter Pan movie for a long long time, but was she a Tinker in that movie or is this something they have thought up recently? I would have thought that tinkering was an elf's job in the olden days when Peter Pan and Tinkerbell were first invented (was it J.M. Barrie?)
i read fairy dust and the quest for the egg by gail carson levine and in it Tink fixed like pots and pans and was a mechanic and they called her a Tinker which is why thats her name i never knew there was a special reason for her name i think they made it up or else they would have mentioned it in the movies or something? i dont think they did in the animated peter pans by disney
my answer would be that she was always a tinker, but not everyone knew that
