How can i get my dog in shape?

My golden retriever is 7 years old and overweight. i am very tired of people calling her fat and i want her to be healthy and energized. Any suggestions on how to get her in shape?

Cut back 1/4 to 1/2 of what you are feeding her, put her on a GOOD diet (maybe even introduce her to a raw diet, keeps dogs in good shape), take her for 1-2 walks per day. Play ball if she will... tug of war keeps up good muscle too.
