Shouldn't there be cutting of programs to pay for the Bush Tax Cuts to be extended?
I think this is exactly what the conservatives should be for. Cutting programs to pay for EVERYTHING. At the end of the day, the money is back in the pockets of the taxpayer, government is smaller.
I don't understand why the conservatives would not want to use PayGo to extend the tax cuts. The odds that the Dems will let them expire and have to take the "raising taxes on the middle class" into the Midterm is slim, but I think we should be consistent about paying for everything and not adding to the debt.
Explain to me the concept of "paying for a tax cut". How does the federal government, for which I haven't worked since 1984, "pay for" allowing me to keep a few more of the dollars I earn? I have never heard anyone ask how Americans will "pay for" the next tax (earnings theft) increase. All programs and agencies not specifically authorized by the Constitution of the United States should be abolished and taxes (earnings theft) reduced to reflect the decreased cost of government.
I am continually amazed at the number of people here who have no intention or desire to become one of "the rich" and think "the rich" should be the only ones to pay any taxes as some form of punishment for success. I hope to be filthy stinking rich some day and intend to keep every penny I can out of the hands of pompous, pandering politicians and welfare leeches.
