Is this a reasonable price to charge for scrapbooking? $10/page, 20pg book for $100, 10pg book for $50?
I'm a really good at scrapbooking. I've done my own pages for my graduation, gifts for my family for Christmas, and my most proud accomplishment, a 50+ page book (probably 80 pages..) covering a state championship football season for a set of twins graduating high school. Since then, I've had people coming up to me asking me to scrapbook for them, willing to pay. Is this a reasonable amount to charge?
I agree with lowering prices. I like the idea of $5/pg., 20pg/$50 and 10pg/$30. It's smart for just starting out. I have almost all the supplies I need but I could keep a tab of what I'm using for each client and have them pay 1/2 if needed. Does that sound reasonable?

I know 3 people who do scrap booking for money and none charge over $5.00 a page unless the person wants a really fancy one. They will charge per job too not just a flat rate of so much per page and all 3 of them have more business then they can handle so make a lot of money doing it and have hired people to help them.
If you are just starting out in any craft, the best thing is to charge a low price until you start getting a good list of customers. Then you can gradually raise your rates. That's what I did when I started out. I do latch hook rugs(my own designs) knit items, punch rugs and drawing. Did it professionally and commercially for over 20 years.
If you start out charging really high prices you will make people stay away, but if you charge low ones, they will start coming and if they like what you do they will stay as your customers. Look at it this way quantity pays better. If you can do 10 jobs at $5.00 a page wouldn't that be better then holding out to get one job that paid $50.00? Always figure that you need to double the cost of materials when you start out and as you get that list of clients,then you can add a cost for your time as well or just charge more for the materials.
