How do you transfer songs from Creative Zen Micro to Computer?

Well, my problem... is that I am unable to transfer songs from my mp3 player to my computer. I try and drag and drop them to a folder and my cursor turns into a circle with a cross through it. I really need to save most of these songs to my computer in order to update the firmware so I don't lose them. Anybody know what I have to do?
