What brand of infant car seats are FAA approved?

I have the Graco safeseat but don't see an FAA sticker anywhere. I am flying with my 4 month old in a couple of weeks and bought her a seat. I need th know what car seat to get.

Most U.S. carseats are FAA approved. Check the owner's manual and contact Graco to send you the sticker if it is approved. I did that with another brand of seat and they were quick about it.

Be comfortable with the belt installation, especially if you usually use LATCH and consider leaving the base behind, or packing it in your luggage (with care!).

If it isn't FAA approved, consider getting a Scenera, which fits newborns, isn't expensive, is light for travel and can be used clear to 40lbs. You can use it as a second seat at home.

Remember, if it's FAA approved, and you've paid for a seat, it can't be refused. You have the right to use it (as long as it's a U.S. carrier). If you don't have a seat for your child, try to get an empty one next to you at check-in.
