Weeping mulberry tree - how to care etc?

Hi, I have been given this but know nothing about it. I have it in a pot but don't know if it's big enough. Don't know where to place it in the winter (I live in NE England). I know it needs lots of sun but obviously we don't get much of that at this time of year, lol. Any help please?

You can plant it in the ground in a sunny, well-drained spot.

If you keep it as a potted tree, you'll have to take measures to protect the root ball during the winter, since it's above ground. You could either sink the whole pot into the ground for the winter, lifting and moving it to where you'd like it in the spring. Or place it up against your house, out of the prevailing winter winds (east side most likely - unless you live on the coast and get winds off the ocean) and then insulate the pot by surrounding it with stacks of bagged mulch, or a couple feet of raked leaves on all sides, or straw bales (empty spots being filled in with mulch or leaves). Or pull it into an attached, unheated garage.

I don't do the inside method myself, because I always forget to water it. It won't need much, but you can't let it go bone dry, either. About once a month, depedning on the size of the pot.

Don't worry about lack of sun in the winter - the tree is dormant, and doesn't need any.

Definitely the easiest method is to find a place for it, and plant it in the ground.
