How do you use Vellums with scrapbooking?

I have a Vellum Quote Pack and am not sure how to use them. If someone could give me some ideas that would be wonderful. Thanks,

Vellum paper looks pretty on scrapbook pages, however, it is tricky to use. You can layer it on part of the page for a 'frosted' effect. You can also use it to make an envelope (by using a template) that shows the contents. You can also use it to mat pictures. The tricky part is adhering it to the cardstock. I often use brads, but sometimes your layout does not allow this. Then, you have to use glue dots. It is a small sheet (covered with dots)which you press against the edges of the vellum (a little on the corners is good), which makes it sticky. Then just press it onto the paper. This is the only way of using glue on vellum without it showing through. These dots are invisible. I bought 'Glue Dots for vellum' 10 sheets fot $6 at my local scrapbook store.
